Webcast: "Expedition to Identity Management"

How to set out to open up new territories.

In the conscious handling of user identities and their access rights in the company, identity management (IAM) is an important basic service for making data securely available to the outside world. The challenges of implementing an IAM are comparable to conducting an expedition and are divided into the same phases: Preparation/Project Planning, Journey/Project Execution, and Return/Project End.

Learn how to navigate the journey to identity management in your organization in a three-part webcast series.

These webcasts await you:

Together with great speakers and an exciting agenda, we would like to bring you closer to the topic "Introduction of Identity Management" by means of an expedition. We will show you how actual expeditions (for example in the Himalayas) are planned and executed, how a company - transferred to IAM - acts on this way and how TIMETOACT in cooperation with Saviynt accompanies you.

Webcast 1: "The preparation

30/09/2021, 1:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m.

Every good journey begins with well-planned preparation. In this first webcast of the "Expedition to Identity Management" series, we will show you what this first step looks like and what preparations are necessary to make the following steps successful as well.

  • When is the time to act
  • Identify what problems need to be solved
  • Set the right, realistic expectations
  • Assess the big picture/circumstances
  • Establish business and IT responsibilities

Webcast 2: "The Journey

10/14/2021, 1:00pm - 2:00pm

In the phase of carrying out any (IAM) expedition, it is necessary to deal with the unplanned and the spontaneously occurring challenges. We discuss how to deal with this situation and what options are available to still successfully reach the destination.

  • Having the right team ready at the right time
  • Management and controlling
  • Dealing with lower quality than expected
  • Making "quick wins" visible
  • Communication
  • And what else is needed

Webcast 3: "The Return

10/21/2021, 1:00pm-2:00pm

Arriving does not automatically mean having everything ready. Many small things that have been left behind during the expedition need to be worked on. But first of all, it is important to celebrate the success, a point that is often forgotten. Just think of shaking hands after a field hockey game to smooth out emotions after tough discussions.

  • Get things done on the "to do later" list.
  • Give the team time to recover
  • Before starting a next phase of the project, make sure everything is going well
  • Help the organization manage the new system well
  • Embrace the next challenge

Among the participants who attended all three webcasts, we will raffle three prizes related to mountain rescue.

The Agenda:

Speaker:

Speaker: Bruno Jelk
Bruno Jelk has had a decisive influence on mountain rescue in the last decades, not only in Switzerland, as rescue chief at Air Zermatt. One of his inventions is a tripod that made it possible to rescue people from crevasses. He made expeditions, among other things, to train mountain rescuers in the Himalayas. There are many recommendable books and films about this.

Speaker: Simon Hirschmann
Simon Hirschmann has been an IAM expert for many years. As a consultant, he has supported and implemented many IAM projects at customers during his career. Last year he decided to switch to the customer side and is now at KNAPP AG in Hart near Graz to lead the Identity Management expedition. Currently, the preparations for the setup of a new IAM system are underway.

Speaker: Frank Schmäring
Frank Schmäring has been a Solutions Engineer at various well-known manufacturers of IAM tools for many years. In this position for the manufacturer Saviynt, he can present in a few words the advantages of an IAM tool that is operated in the cloud. His deployments with customers are legendary.

Speaker: Anton Peter
The main speaker of the webcast series is Anton Peter, Business Development Manager at TIMETOACT. For years, Anton Peter has been active as a consultant on the topic of identity management in many customer projects. He shares this experience with project managers as a project coach and trouble shooter. He has worked in various roles for customers, partners and manufacturers over the past years. He now conveys this broad knowledge in workshops in a practical and customer-oriented way.
