HCL announces monthly fixes for Connections

HCL has announced that there will be a new update strategy for Connections starting May 01, 2021. Therefore, starting in May, there will be monthly fixes for software issues reported by HCL Connections 7.0 customers.

What does that mean for you?

Every month the latest Cumulative Fix (CFix) must be installed to get all available changes. These updates allow our Connections 7.0 customers to easily update their implementations with the latest changes to prevent known issues and increase stability.

At the beginning of each month, the monthly CFix is published and made available on the HCL Software and License Delivery Portal.

With the monthly updates, we suspect that HCL wants to avoid a high number of support tickets in the future, as the known issues will be fixed faster for customers. Therefore, customers will surely be asked to apply these updates even if they have support tickets, before the support team does further in-depth analysis.
